New theme: Marrying left your maiden name disused.

So we're slightly more on it with the new theme this month. This one came from a writing exercise I was given in class (I didn't actually get around to doing it, so I don't have any kind of head start!).

"Marrying left your maiden name disused."

I have absolutely no idea where to even start with this one, but then I guess that's the fun of it.

Happy creating!

PS. I tried really hard to find a picture that somehow related to this post. It was nigh on impossible! So there's a challenge to all you visual people.

  3. disuse - neglect: the state of something that has been unused and neglected;

    Ah my dad could tell you all about the disused maiden name. My big sister was still to get married and the night before my wedding day my dad said that the Graham name would never go on....he then said "is it possible to keep your own second name or at least use a double barreled one?"
    I said, "I don't think so dad."

    Poor dad. x

  4. Great topic, although marrying didn't stop me from using my maiden name... sorry Justin!

    Yep my dad would have been very disappointed if I didn't keep the Clay name intact.

  6. Heyyy guys, I just kind of started with the Monday project, but I gave this month a crack:

    It's kind of stemming from the idea of your life changing, getting married and picking up new responsibilities and leaving 'the old you' behind (along with your surname) - reflected through the objects that pass through your handbag. Bit obscure and maybe a bit cliche, ah well :)

  7. Was thinking of doing a story but drew a blank. Did a photo essay instead: http://bonkershongkers.blogspot.com/2009/11/monday-project-marrying-left-your.html?showComment=1257410082903#c1504043925944610586
